Monoblock or split system: which to choose

Both types are air-to-water heat pumps with the same modes: heating, cooling and hot water. They differ in where the hydraulics are located, what enters the house and how they are installed.

A monoblock heat pump is easier to install: the unit is placed outdoors and connected to the heating system with pipes, and the entire refrigeration circuit is charged at the factory. A split is chosen when water must not be routed outside, and also when the Suntide hydraulic module with an 8 l expansion tank, a pump and a 3 kW heater replaces separate boiler-room equipment.

How to choose the heat pump capacity

Approximate ranges for an insulated house — the same as in the filter above the products. The exact capacity is determined by a heat loss calculation.

Heat pump for 100 m²

A 9 kW model suits a 100 m² house: Sunglow 9 kW, Hi-Master V 9 kW with a CM10, HS10 or HT10 module, or a Suntide 9 kW split. All three run on a 230 V supply.

Heat pump for 120–150 m²

A 120–150 m² house needs 13–16 kW. For a single-phase supply — Sunglow 13, Hi-Master V 13 and Suntide 13 or 16 kW; for a three-phase supply — Sunglow 13 and 16, Hi-Master V 13 and 16 with an HS10 or HT10 module, Suntide 13 and 16 kW at 380 V.

Heat pump for 200 m²

A 200 m² house needs 16–20 kW: Sunglow 16, 18 and 20 kW, Hi-Master V 16 kW, Suntide 18 and 20 kW or Sunpro 18.5 and 20 kW. Models of this capacity are three-phase, 380 V.

The exact capacity depends on the heat loss of the house: insulation, windows, region. A Termojet engineer will calculate it from your data.

All four series have WiFi control from a smartphone (Eco-Home or SmartLife, depending on the series), SG Ready support for operation with solar panels and cascade connection of several units. Sunglow and Hi-Master V use the natural refrigerant R290 and heat water to 75 °C, so they also suit radiators.

Single-phase and three-phase models: 230 V and 380 V

For a 230 V supply: Sunglow 4, 6, 9 and 13 kW; Hi-Master V 6, 9 and 13 kW; Suntide 6, 9, 13 and 16 kW.

For a 380 V supply: Sunglow 13, 16, 18 and 20 kW; Hi-Master V 13 and 16 kW; Suntide 13, 16, 18 and 20 kW; the entire Sunpro series and the commercial Sunrise and Climastar. The 13 and 16 kW models are available in both versions — check the power supply before ordering.

Heating system components

So that the compressor starts less often, a buffer tank is installed in the system — its volume is selected to match the heat pump capacity.

For hot water, a 200–500 l indirect-heating boiler is connected to the heat pump; for Hi-Master V there is the HT10 hydraulic tower with a built-in 200 l boiler.

In summer the same heat pump cools the house through fan coils — wall-mounted, cassette or floor-standing.

Installation and service

Installation is carried out by certified Termojet partners: selection, installation, commissioning. After start-up, warranty and service support is available throughout the heat pump's service life.

FAQ

How much does a heat pump for heating a 100 m² house cost?

A 100 m² house needs a 9 kW model. Prices for Sunglow 9, Hi-Master V 9 and Suntide 9 kW are on the cards in the sections above, including VAT, installation not included; if no price is shown, a manager will give it on request. A manager will calculate the installation cost from the data about your house.

Which heat pump do I need for 150 m²?

Approximately 13–16 kW. For a 230 V supply — Sunglow 13, Hi-Master V 13, Suntide 13 and 16 kW; for 380 V — also Sunglow 16 and Hi-Master V 16. The exact capacity is given by a heat loss calculation.

Monoblock or split — which to choose for a private house?

A monoblock is easier to install: no refrigerant work, all the hydraulics are in one unit. A split is chosen when water must not be routed outdoors — then there is no risk of the pipes freezing. See the comparison in the table above.

Can a heat pump be connected to existing radiators?

Yes, if the radiator area is sufficient for a lower supply temperature. Sunglow and Hi-Master V heat water to 75 °C, Suntide to 60 °C. A Termojet engineer will check your system.

Is installation included in the price?

No, the prices on the website are for the equipment including VAT, installation not included. Installation can be ordered together with the heat pump from certified Termojet partners.
