### What Is COP? COP (Coefficient of Performance) is the efficiency ratio of a heat pump. A COP of 4.0 means that consuming 1 kW of electricity produces 4 kW of thermal energy.
### What Affects the Figure? COP is not a fixed value. It depends on two factors:
**Outdoor air temperature:** the colder it is outside, the harder it is for the pump to "extract" heat, and COP falls.
**Water supply temperature:** for underfloor heating (+35°C) COP is always higher than for radiators (+55°C).
### SCOP — The Real Efficiency Indicator For the consumer, SCOP (Seasonal COP) is more important — the average value over the entire heating season. It accounts for all temperature changes throughout the year. When choosing Termojet equipment, focus on the seasonal coefficient for a climate zone similar to Ukraine.
### Buyer's Tip When comparing models, look at COP under standard conditions A7/W35 (air +7°C, water +35°C). If a manufacturer hides data at low temperatures (A-7/W35), that is a reason to question compressor quality. A high COP means direct monthly savings on your electricity bills.
